Maria Ilda (Cordeiro) Rego, 69, of River Street, Bristol, passed away on Aug. 13, 2018, at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Horacio Jose do Rego. Born in Relva, Sao Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Seraphim Correia Cordeiro and Maria da Conceicao (Soares) Cordeiro.
She is survived by her children, Dina Vicente and her husband Jose of Bristol, and Nelly Rego of Seekonk, and grandchildren, Justin Vicente and Ryan Vicente. She was the sister of Maria Helena Cordeiro of Bristol, and Maria das Neves Pereira and Maria Delores deMelo, both of Kitimat, British Columbia.
Mrs. Rego was educated in Portugal and employed as a CNA at Rhode Island Hospital before retiring. She was a member of Amigos da Terceira, Pawtucket, R.I.
Her funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
