Maria Fatima (Hipolito) Medina, 84, of Francine Street passed away on Aug. 4, 2020, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Antonio Piloto Medina.
Born in Sta. Cruz, Flores, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late António Francisco Hipólito and Maria da Conceição d’Almeida.
She is survived by her son, Victor A. Medina, MD and his wife Melinda, and three grandchildren, Katerina Medina, Nicholas Medina and Alexander Medina. She was the sister of Maria Estela Braga of Vaughan, Ontario. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews in California, Rhode Island and Ontario.
Mrs. Medina was educated in Portugal and employed by American Tourister and A&A Manufacturing before retiring. She loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, her beloved family, Church family, and her many friends. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, visiting with her friends, and traveling to North Carolina. She was full of life and admired by many. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 7, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the same location. Burial will follow in the North Burial Ground, Bristol.
