Maria Aurora Perry, 93, Bristol

Maria Aurora (d’Oliveira) Perry, 93, of Hope Street, Bristol, passed away on Jan. 30 at Silver Creek Manor. She was the wife of the late William Perry.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose Agostinho and Maria Carolina (Vasconcellos) d’Oliveira. She was a graduate of Hope High School and attended Bryant College. She was a bookkeeper for Anthony A. Nunes Construction, but was happiest being a homemaker for her family.

Mrs. Perry is survived by her daughter, Jean Beavis and her husband Edward of Bristol; her sister, Adelaide Nunes of Bristol; her grandchildren, James Beavis of Westport, Mass., and Leah Gruca of Bristol; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Beavis, Logan Gruca and Phoebe Gruca. She was the sister of the late Dr. Julio d’Oliveira, Fernanda Jamison, Jose d’Oliveira and Horacio d’Oliveira.

Her funeral services were held on Feb. 3 from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
