When the chill of February arrives in Bristol, Coggeshall Farm Museum comes out of hibernation just in time for a time-honored tradition: maple sugaring.
For decades, Coggeshall has continued to practice historic methods of maple sugaring.
Learn about how this New England tradition ties into a variety of topics, from abolition to international shipping. Then, warm up by the farmhouse hearth and enjoy mulled cider and authentic johnnycakes.
This years maple sugaring dates are Saturday, February 23rd and Sunday, February 24th from 10-4 both days. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids, seniors, and active military. Admission is free for Coggeshall members.
