Saint-Gobain’s historic aerospace manufacturing site in Bristol, located at 386 Metacom Ave., is aiming to double its headcount and hire 50 new employees over the next four months to support increased demand from its customers in the rapidly recovering aerospace industry.

The plant is hosting a job fair outside the site this Saturday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Bristol plant began operations in 1876 and moved to its current location in 1960. Originally a manufacturer of industrial and automotive components, today the site is Saint-Gobain’s manufacturing hub for aerospace components. Parts made at Saint-Gobain’s plant in Bristol are used on nearly every model of commercial airliner flying today, along with numerous rockets and space vehicles.

In 2021, the site was selected as the location of Saint-Gobain’s Global Center for Excellence for aerospace component manufacturing.

The plant is hiring for many different positions and at all levels of experience. Current openings include a wide range of direct production and manufacturing support roles.
