Manuel F. Garcia, 66, passed away June 19, 2020, at his home with his loving wife of 29 years Gail at his side

Born in Fall River, Mass., and a longtime resident of Bristol, he was the son of the late Manuel F. Garcia and Virginia (Ferreira) Garcia.

Manuel was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1972. For many years, “Manny” served as a Master Millwright for Microfiber. Manny also honorably served our country in the Rhode Island Army National Guard for six years. Manny was an outdoorsman, taking great pleasure in snowmobiles, camping, jet skis, and especially loved spending time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

In addition to his wife Gail, Manny leaves behind his dear pets Max and Midnight. Manny is also survived by his great friend, Karen Connors of North Conway, N.H. and his nieces, Shannon Kikendall of Palm Bay, Fla., Sandra Connors of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., and Michelle Zuckerman of Barttlet, N.H. His memory will also live on through his many friends and acquaintances.

Special thanks to Alert Ambulance, Bristol Rescue Squad, and Manny’s doctors, nurses and Hospice workers for all they did for Manny.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday June 26, 2020, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol, Rhode island. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Pallbearers will be James Murray, Oliver Poissant, Michael Vivieros Sr., John Ciociola, William Ciociola and Mark Devine. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alert Ambulance, P.O Box 9395, Fall River, MA 02720 or to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children,  2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or online at www.donate.lovetotherescue.org
