PORTSMOUTH — Police arrested a man on Saturday, Aug. 28, after officers responded shortly before 7 p.m. to Brewers Marina (North), 222 Narragansett Boulevard, to investigate a report of a verbal argument.
According to police, Calvin R. Farrow, 56, of 321 Brady Canyon Road, Ruidoso, N.M., was arguing with a 55-year-old Little Compton woman over the well-being of his dogs, and pushed the woman to the ground as she intervened.
According to police, officers observed visible minor injuries to the victim.
Mr. Farrow was charged with simple assault. He was later issued a district court summons and released from police headquarters.

Monday, Aug. 23
Neisha A. Price, 22, of 3652 North Main St., Apt. 1, Fall River, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after the vehicle in which she was a passenger was pulled over on West Main Road at Bristol Ferry Road around 2 a.m. While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, officers observed in plain view a medication for which Ms. Price could not produce a prescription. She was held overnight pending her arraignment in 2nd District Court the following morning.
Wednesday, Aug. 25
Matthew K. Quintal, 30, of 113 Eastern Ave., Apt. 2, Fall River, was arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant shortly before 6 p.m. Mr. Quintal had been driving a vehicle that was pulled over because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, according to police.
Thursday, Aug. 26
Bryan J. Hennessey, 61, of 448 Park Ave., was charged with domestic assault in connection with an incident that had taken place the day before, according to police. He was arrested at his home shortly after midnight. The victim was a 50-year-old woman from Portsmouth, according to police.
Friday, Aug. 27
Lochiel N. Nance, 19, of 121 Hillside Ave., Apt. 2, Newport, was arrested on a full bench warrant issued by Superior Court after a vehicle in which he was a passenger was pulled over on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street around 1:20 a.m. He was held overnight before being transported to 2nd District Court in the morning.
Saturday, Aug. 28
Christopher J. Keegan, 40, of 79 Windward Road, Wakefield, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) following a motor vehicle accident on the Mt. Hope Bridge around 12:30 a.m. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Sunday, Aug. 29
Nicholas T. Viticonte, 39, of 31 Mark Drive, Lincoln, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over on West Main Road at Flanagan Road around 1 a.m. for speeding and leaving the lane of travel. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test. He was issued a district court summons and released from police headquarters.
Gerardo Crus Martinez, 26, of 95 Hillside Ave. Apt. 195, Newport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) following a single-vehicle accident on Route 24 South at the Anthony Road ramp around 1:25 a.m. He was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.
Elijah A. Peixoto, 26, of 28 Apollo Road, Apt. 4H, East Providence, was charged with driving without an active license (first offense) after being pulled over in the area of East Main Road and Stubtoe Lane around 5:10 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 30
Lauren A. Thompson, 33, of 21 Linda Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being stopped on East Main Road at Mintwater Brook Lane around 7:40 p.m. for committing multiple roadways violations and operating the vehicle without headlights. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Tuesday, Aug. 31
Jose R. Martino, 41, of 4104 Flowering Path Lane, Greensboro, N.C., was charged with felony assault using a dangerous weapon (his vehicle) following a chase that ended up in Middletown. According to police, officers stopped his vehicle in Portsmouth, and while speaking to Mr. Martino, he provided false identification information and then fled the scene in his vehicle, nearly striking one of the officers. He later fled from the vehicle on foot, and with their assistance of Middletown Police and its K9 unit, he was located and placed under arrest around 1:25 a.m. on Green Lane in Middletown, according to police. Mr. Martino was also charged with reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police (first offense), obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and driving without an active license (first offense).
