WESTPORT — A woman lost on the Camara Conservation Area woods was found after an extensive search back on Monday, June 8, Westport Police said in a press release on June 24.

At approximately 7:43 pm that day, Westport Police received a 911 call from a woman who said that she had gone for a walk on the Tickle Road Camara Conservation Area path with her dog but decided to go off the path and had become lost.

Officer Kyle Fernandes searched the thickly wooded area and was able to locate the missing woman along with her dog. Sgt. Cambra, Officer Arruda, Detective Rebello and The Westport Fire Department assisted in the search.

Camara Conservation Area is a 43-acre property containing woods and freshwater wetlands that includes a half mile of paths. The property is managed by he Westport Lane Conservation Trust.
