WARWICK — North Cumberland won both boys’ and girls’ team titles while Maxwell DiMuccio of Rumford's St. Margaret School won the boys' individual crown at the 2015 State Middle School Cross Country Championship Meet held Saturday, Oct. 24, at Goddard Park.
DiMuccio, an eighth grader, covered the 1.8-mile course in a winning time of 10 minutes, 11 seconds. North Cumberland won the boys' team title with 57 points and the girls' division with 63 behind Adah Anderson's first place time of 11:47.
DiMuccio paced St. Margaret to a 10th place team score of 279 points. Martin, winners of the Eastern Division title, placed fifth at states led by Prince Peixoto's fifth place time of 10:35. Biron Chalas ran 36th overall for the Wildcats in 11:28 followed by Nathan Bettencourt in 37th at 11:29. Andrew Mottur was 58th overall in 11:45. Troy DeAndrade was 73rd overall in 12:02.
Chase Kennedy led the Riverside Middle School boys to 32nd place, running 184th overall in 13:29.
The MMS girls placed 19th as a team paced by Samantha Carroll's 33rd place time of 12:58. The RMS girls were 34th led by Alivia Amaral in 214th overall at 16:09. Bay View was 33rd in the ream standings led by Carson Cole's 103rd place time of 13:50.
