Police received a report at 1:36 pm regarding an alleged incident that had occurred on Amy Hart Path near the Transfer Station. That resulted in the August 31 arrest of Albert Gomez, 79, of 149 Long Highway, Little Compton, on a charge of second degree sexual assault.
Monday, Sept. 7
At 12:16 pm, a West Main Road caller reported that his credit card number was being used near the south border of Texas.
Tuesday, Sept. 8
A Rhode Island Avenue resident called at 12:40 pm to report that a small boat had washed up on his property. The owner of the New Hampshire-registered boat was contacted and will pick it up.
Responding to a suspicious activity call on West Main Road north of the Vineyard, officers reported that one person fled on foot, another came out of the woods. Over an hour later “one party still missing.” Officer “will remain in the area.”
Wednesday, Sept. 9
After a 9:56 am traffic stop at the corner of Main Street and Colebrook Road, a Fall River driver was cited for driving without a license.
Friday, Sept. 11
A car struck a pole at the east end of Shaw Road shortly before 3:47 pm. There were no injuries but the car had to be towed.
A 7:37 pm, a car struck a deer on Long Highway. The vehicle left under its own power but the deer had to be killed.
Saturday, Sept. 12
An Oak Forest Drive resident requested assistance at 11:04 am, saying that her neighbors’ dogs are at her door and she is trying to get out. She said she tried contacting the neighbor without success.
Sunday, Sept. 13
A wallet found on South of Commons Road was brought to the station at 3:57 pm. The owner was notified.
A Queen Awahunk Trail caller asked to speak to an officer about a neighbor’s dog.
