Little Compton Police Report: Searchers find girl

Police responded to a 4:35 p.m. 911 hangup call from Wild Cherry Lane — no issue.

Wednesday, April 1

A family member asked police to check on a resident’s well-being at 12:08 p.m. The resident was later transported to Newport Hospital by rescue.

Thursday, April 2

At 4:11 p.m., Little Compton Police and Rescue (with an all-terrain vehicle) and a Department of Environmental Management officer went to Simmons Mill Pond Management Area off John Dyer Road for a report of a 7-year-old girl missing — last seen 30 minutes ago. At 4:36 p.m. came word that an officer had found the girl — she was reunited with her parents at the Colebrook Road entrance.

Monday, April 6

At 4:08 p.m., a Stony Brook Drive resident reported a dog bite.
