Police and rescue responded to Tomkins Lane at 7:30 a.m. for a 911 call regarding an accident with injuries. In addition to providing aid, they charged driver Byron Martines Yanes, 48, of Providence, with driving without a license (or expired license).
Thursday, Nov. 7
An Old Main Road resident reported annoying phone calls — someone requesting $10.
At 12:41 p.m., an East Main Road resident called police about a drone being flown over his property. Police reported that they spoke to the owners of the drone on a nearby. property.
Police were called to a minor motor vehicle accident on Sakonnet Point Road at 3:24 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 8
A vehicle struck a deer on East Main Road at 9:47 a.m. No word on injuries or fate of the deer.
Saturday, Nov. 9
A resident found a loose pug on Old Stone Church Road and brought the dog to the station. Police brought the dog to West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton. Later, the dog was picked up by its owner.
