Linda LeClair Rimoshytus of Warren passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020. She was the beloved wife of James "Jimma" Rimoshytus and leaves behind her two sons, Ryan and Patrick, as well as her four granddaughters, Nastasia, Rachael, Tatiana and Hannah Rimoshytus. She is survived by her sisters Susan, Joan and Nanci, and brother Bobby.

Linda lived her life in the service of others, spending many years as a proud nurse for the State of Rhode Island and continuing care for the elderly as a private duty professional. Her love for her grandchildren became her focus, leading her to be an essential founder of the student mentor program as well as the student and family advocacy group.

Known as the region's "tough love grandma," she was always outspoken, strong-willed and had a heart of gold. Her commitment to others helped many students stay in school and allowed seniors to remain in the comfort of their homes.

A mother, grandmother and sister, she epitomized the volunteer spirit and what it meant to be a member of a community. She loved her little town. Her presence was felt by many and will be missed.

Her strength lives on in her granddaughters, and her legacy will live on in the form of an annual scholarship in her name for students and families of the Bristol Warren Regional School District. In lieu of flowers, donations to the scholarship fund are encouraged. A link to the scholarship will be placed on her Facebook page.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, Schoolhouse Road, Warren.
