I think that Ms. Newcomer is mistaken when she claims that there is no parking in the Harbor. If you are a Westport resident and have a beach pass you are allowed to park on Beach Avenue to enjoy the Knubble Beach, go for a walk and/or have a picnic.
Visitors are welcome and are very conscientious in cleaning up and taking their trash with them (please pick up after your dogs).
Ms. Newcomer should not condemn neighbors in the Harbor because of an ignorant remark made by someone at a meeting. The biggest concern right now is cars that speed in the area, putting walkers at risk. The roads are extremely narrow and there are no sidewalks.
I think you would be hard-pressed to find parking anywhere in Westport except in parking lots. So, if you are a Westport resident with a beach pass, come and enjoy Knubble Beach and have a great day!
