To the editor:

Sowams Elementary School is so thankful for the support of our community who made our Octoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 14 a huge success.

Octoberfest is the largest fundraiser to benefit the teachers and students at Sowams. Over the past several years, we have been unable to hold Octoberfest. In response, the Barrington community came out for us and made the return of Octoberfest our most successful event to date.  Our success was directly related to the hard work of these parents and the variety of

gold, silver, and bronze sponsors who generously supported our school.

The Sowams community feels exceptionally lucky to have teachers, faculty, and school leadership who are so dedicated to our children. We are blessed with an active and dedicated PTO board that always goes above and beyond. The parents in your community feel lucky to have all of you and hope Octoberfest supports all efforts to provide the best resources and environment for the professionals at Sowams and our children.
