Letter: Rest In Peace, Mr. Byrnes
To the editor:
I recently learned of the passing of well known Bristolian Mike Byrnes, and first and foremost I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Mike's family and friends on his passing.
Mike and I debated on a regular basis in the opinion pages of the Phoenix, and while we were complete polar opposites in our political and social views, he was always a total gentleman in his rebuttals to my opinions. He conveyed his feelings in a professional and respectful manner and never resorted to personal or demeaning attacks, something that has become very rare in our society these days.
May he rest in peace.
