Letter: Recall the obvious choice for Katz, Coulter

To the editor:

The reason for recalling councilors Justin Katz and Robert Coulter is simple. They have not taken their Town Council responsibility seriously. Signers and non-signers of the petition know they have failed to do this.

Instead, they challenge taxpayers at every opportunity by using the following political stunts.

The had someone apply for an open position on the zoning board to settle a political vendetta. Mr. Katz stalled a Board of Canvasser request for their own counsel because they felt the town solicitor was not impartial. They voted to open executive meeting minutes as a political vendetta against the three non-TTA council members. They created a circus meeting by proposing that Tiverton be a Second Amendment sanctuary town. They dragged their feet when it was necessary to acquire a rescue vehicle as they lack decision making abilities. They proposed limiting public speaking to speed up meetings. The long meetings are their fault since they cannot resolve issues at their own outside meetings.

Without allowing discussion, they came into a council meeting having made up their mind that attorney Giovani Ciccione would be the temporary solicitor.

Their body of work contradicts their new campaign motto which is “We’re Doing Good Work.” They obviously are not acting in the best interests of Tiverton residents. Also, their dwindling number of supporters now see through them as do all other residents in Tiverton.

Voting to remove Justin Katz and Robert Coulter is the obvious choice.
