Letter: Patricia Hilton highly qualified to lead in Tiverton

To the editor:

As the election draws near, I am respectfully requesting the voters of Tiverton to consider Patricia (Tricia) Hilton for a seat on the Town Council.  Tricia Hilton has been known to me for a very long time.   I have witnessed her consistent energy and proactive approach to researching issues that are extremely important to the Town of Tiverton.

Patricia is a five-year member of the Tiverton Conservation Commission, and is currently serving as chair.  Her insightful presentations to the council and boards within the town have been invaluable in educating the residents on numerous environmental issues.  She has been very diligent in protecting Tiverton’s watershed areas.

A resident of Tiverton for 23 years, she is retired from her long career in the high-tech industry that included management positions in systems engineering and product management. She is married with a son who has served our country in Iraq, and a daughter in college; I am certain Trish has the energy and the time necessary to serve on your council.

Chair of the Grinnell’s Beach/Seaside Gas Station Improvement Committee, Patricia has worked hand in hand with both state and federal organizations, and she was instrumental in securing the grant that will provide the funds to improve the Grinnell’s Beach area.  She is well-versed in the Tiverton Community Comprehensive Plan.

Tiverton would be very well-served by electing Patricia (Tricia) Hilton to the Town Council.
