Letter: Only US and MIA flags should be flown at veterans memorial

To the editor:

Most of us recall the original flag pole location on the lawn in front of town hall; surrounded by grass. Then it was relocated to the corner of town hall, next to a memorial plaque and subsequently a low arced wall was added on which plaques recalling the various US Military actions were commemorated. In my opinion, the site thus became sacrosanct as a tribute to the Town’s Fallen Veterans. For that reason alone, I believe that only the US and MIA Flags should be flown at that site. If the town council wishes to fly other flags, they should properly be on a pole at a different location.

Respectfully,

Allan Klepper
