Letter: My support comes from across the political spectrum

Posted

To the editor:

In a recent Barrington Times letter to the editor, the husband of current Barrington School Committee Vice Chair Megan Douglas insinuates that my clearly articulated policy positions have resulted in the alignment of my independent campaign with one political party versus another.

This is untrue.

Furthermore, it is a deliberate strategy of insinuation which seeks to undermine the legitimate independent nature of my campaign.

The support for my campaign comes from across the political spectrum. I have spoken with many members of our community over the last year and have always viewed them as neighbors and have never been prejudiced by political affiliation.

I am running as an independent because I feel partisanship has hurt the Barrington School Committee.
