To the editor:
It is bewildering to me how many people are able adopt someone else's ideology and promote it without giving any thought to, or doing any research into, possible alternative viewpoints to that ideology.
Since mid-December, I have been on YouTube almost daily looking looking into what black intellectuals have to say about being black in America today and in the past. These people present a totally different view than the one presented to us by the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, Coates, and BLM. While the latter's views are promoted relentlessly in the everyday media, The intellectuals’ views are never aired.
I challenge anyone interested in black issues to invest some time exploring on YouTube the views of blacks such as Tom Sowell, Coleman Hughes, Shelby Steele, Larry Elder and a host of others YouTube will lead you to.
Check out their histories and credentials on Wikipedia first; then listen to what they have to say and perhaps ask yourself why you never hear these black’ views mentioned on our daily media.
