To the editor:
A few weeks ago, the Warren Times-Gazette kindly published our article asking for financial sponsors for the Warren Beautification Program with the 30 big “blue pots” that have graced the sidewalks throughout the downtown streets since 2018.
We are thrilled to report that the response to our request was outstanding! Thanks to many generous donors, we will be able to continue the program. We are so grateful to all our donors, and for their kind and encouraging notes telling us how much they enjoy seeing the flower planters throughout town.
We must recognize the substantial support we receive from Warren’s DPW department, who help us with preparing and delivering the planters each year to their destinations and pick them up each winter to store on their grounds until the following summer. We also thank Frerich Farms, who have provided us with beautiful plants each year.
Our volunteers plant and maintain them for the summer and fall seasons, and our merchants keep them watered. It is truly a community project that so many have contributed to, and we are very grateful for this collaboration.
With much appreciation.
