Is Rite Aid/ Walgreen's closing? I have heard that it is because of lighted signage that Walgreens wants to put up outside the store which seems to be a problem with local official policy. I hope this does not happen as I think choices in where people want to shop is very important. Barrington has many banks, a growing amount of restaurants and small stores. Competition is important for many reasons such as pricing, choices of products, location, even how comfortable a patron feels in a particular store. But really the most important thing is the ability to patronize the store, bank, restaurant, pharmacy that we choose. So I hope this problem can be worked out without the drastic measure of closing the store.

Respectfully,

Barbara Flanders
