To the editor:
I am a 26-year resident of Warren and want to support the East Bay Development Corporation’s proposal to build Penny Lane in East Warren, an area I drive by several times a day. I have heard many complaints but I want to speak to the potential positive aspects of this plan. I understand that change can often be challenging and concerning.
As a member of the Warren Conservation Commission I am concerned about the land, wetlands, wildlife and surrounding area. The privately owned vacant land across from my home is now being built upon. It will change the quiet corner where I live, change the pathways of some of the wildlife, but I do trust that the DEM and Town of Warren officials have completed due diligence to protect the environmental impact.
While change will occur there can be benefits as well: new neighbors, more tax revenue, children for our schools and potential friends for the neighbors.
Please look for the positives in change that can occur.
