Why do I have to look for “Pink Bags coming soon?” I didn’t request them.

Also, how is it a way of being greener?

Why not support the East Bay Food Pantry Thrift Shop, Big Brothers Big Sisters, or St. Mary’s Loaves and Fishes RI, etc., all of which accept clothing, all of which are in Bristol? In addition, there are the many bins in parking lots we all pass every day that accept clothing. These don’t require a plastic bag to donate, or an extra vehicle on the roads to transport.

I never requested these pink Simple Recycling bags to be mailed to me, and I don’t intend to use them. As far as stopping the initial bags from coming, the answer from Simple Recycling was “Our bags are sent a few weeks ahead of our launch, so you may receive one in the mail at this point as we are launching in Bristol shortly.”

I’m feeling a little put upon by this “launch.” I hope the town council will at least provide a collection place for unused, unwanted bags.

This imposed idea goes against my idea of recycling clothing, which is to donate to a nearby organization for reuse, without the use of a plastic bag.
