Letter: Good old farms and the beauty of buying local
To the editor:
Since the 1930’s, I left Little Compton and traveled with my grandparents north into Tiverton on to Crandall Road. It was always great and interesting to see a farm, especially a dairy farm at 1057 Crandall Road.
As time moved on, I got my driver’s license and the dairy farm changed to a beef farm. Again time moves on and now at 1057 Crandall Road on the first week of November, 2019, I looked to the west past the old barn and silos at 1057 Crandall Road. What I saw was the great 25-plus acre cranberry bog, with perfect blue water in one half and, on the other half, floating red cranberries. Congratulations to our local Middle Acres Cranberry company.
To everyone, let’s buy local.
