Letter: Donna Amaral — without doubt worthy candidate for Westport BOH

To the editor:

We would like to endorse Donna Amaral RN for Westport Board of Health.

We have been involved in politics for many years in Westport and seen some excellent candidates get elected.  We believe that Donna, a newcomer indeed to politics but a long term resident, has stepped forward at exactly the right time to serve her town. We need someone with her training, experience and proven success in the health field.

Donna is a 40-year health professional who has a broad and relevant career in dealing with epidemics, family mental health, and addiction, both domestic and abroad. She (really!) can listen to all sides and she can help bridge differences.  She has done so throughout her career and can do it for Westport.

Without a doubt she would be an excellent addition to the Board of Health.  Please vote for Donna Amaral RN on April 14th (or whenever the election might be held!)
