The organization that is fighting the proposed overdevelopment of the historic 1680 Kinnicutt/Bettencourt Farm is excited to announce that our fundraising ‘Dinner at the Farm’ at Frerichs Farm was a sold out success with 125 people! It was a magical, cozy evening in the greenhouses that were beautifully lit and decorated, with live music and delicious food! The food was all donated by over a dozen local restaurants, vendors, and farms!

We are very grateful to this community for pitching in to provide for this amazing dinner! Specifically, we wish to thank Frerichs Farm, Palmer River Grille, The Love Shack, Dune Brothers, The Revival, Market Street Pub, Long Lane Farm, Perella’s Ristorante, Tom’s Market, Ice Cream Barn, Perfect Sweet Shop, Prica Farina, Coffee Depot, Sowams Cider, Joe & Betty Brito, Eric Cloutier, Staton’s Landscaping, J and E Marble and Granite, Taylor Rental, TAP Printing, Don’s Art Shop, and musician Michelle Saylors. As one can see, a lot went into this event and this community demonstrated how important it is to save this farm.

We also wish to thank all the local artisans and businesses who donated amazing things for the silent auction. Specifically, Frerichs Farm, Rising Tide Apothecary, Lobster Pot, Nest, Kristi’s Kraftails, Market Street Pub, Butch Lombardi, Richard Kaiser, Davison Bolster, Sowams Cider, Michael Vitorino, Art of the Gem, J. William Middendorf II, Vintage Haven, Swansea Country Club, The Barre & Yoga Experience, The Revival, Rob Coyne School of Music Education, Montaup Country Club, Julie Hair, Heart and Soul, Dennis Viera, Debbie Ganon, Strive Gymnastics, Sunset Café, and Jimmy C’s Authentic Italian Cookies. Warren is blessed to have such a community that is so supportive of the efforts that make this such a special place! Please support these local artisans and businesses!

Since everything was donated for this dinner, all of the proceeds will be used to help fight the proposed Settlers Green development at the town and state levels, like legal fees and expert testimony. It will also go towards the professional appraisal and title report on the property to help raise grant funds to possibly purchase the farm for agricultural and open space uses.
