Letter: Barrington neighborhoods welcome people from all over

Posted

To the editor:

My husband and I have lived in Barrington for 47 years and raised our 3 children in this town. I taught in the Barrington schools for nearly 30 years. Over these years, the mix of residents from international locations around the globe has definitely changed and these changes have been for the better. In the elementary school classrooms, it was our practice to celebrate differences and to teach the children about international cultures.

In our neighborhood, we have residents who come from a number of different countries and it is this very fact that makes our neighborhood a special place! From my perspective, the citizens of Barrington of all ages have welcomed those from many places who now call our town home.
