Letter: Barrington council should re-do its recent meeting

Posted

To the editor:

I question the validity of the ordinance recently passed by Barrington’s Town Council. I believe that the intent of the open meeting law has been violated by limiting the number of people who could log in or call in. Many people could not get in to either listen and/or to participate in violation of open meeting laws.

I believe the Town Council should make better accommodations and hold the meeting again where those who want to participate will have the access to do so. I, for one, tried several times to log in and or call in to no avail.

Zoom meetings that do not allow the citizens to attend and participate should not be valid!
