Last call for Tiverton Junior Basketball League

The Tiverton Jr Basketball League has begun sign-ups for its 2015-2016 season.

Players must be between the ages of 6 and 14 as of August 31. Registration fees for this season remain unchanged at $85 for one child $105 for a family. Financial assistance is available for those in need by contacting league president Joe Perry at 624-3370. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence.

Completed applications and payment can be mailed to TJBL P.O. Box 245  Tiverton, RI 02878. All applications must be received this week. Along with your mailed application, please send an email to jcperry@1546.aol.com

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
