Keith Hamilton

Portsmouth

Political platform statement

Why I am running for this office: I have enjoyed my time on the Council and would like to continue to serve the people of Portsmouth. I will continue to work hard to keep the budget under control while working to move Portsmouth forward. Over the past 10 years I have worked to conserve space, Mt. Hope Park, fix roads, Road program of 2013 injecting $750,000 plus into our roads each year and found a funding source to provide much needed safety equipment to Prudence Island Volunteer Fire Dept. I look forward to helping our Town grow smartly while keeping our traditions alive. I respectfully ask for your vote on Nov. 3rd or with your early vote.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
