Kathleen C. Marshall, 49, of Wilmington, Del.

Kathleen C. Marshall, 49, daughter of James Marshall and step-daughter of Lila Marshall of Barrington, died in Wilmington, Del., on Monday, May 27, 2019. Kathleen was a frequent visitor to Barrington and spent many summers vacationing at Westport Point, Mass. in her early years.

Kathleen graduated summa cum laude from Catholic University in 1993 and was the recipient that year of the Pi Gamma Mu International Social Science Award. She received her law degree from George Washington School of Law in 1997. She also spent two years at Providence College and a year abroad at Oxford University, Black Friars College, in Oxford, England. She was a member of the Oxford Union Society. She interned in the office of the late Senator John Chafee of RI in the 90s.

Kathleen worked for a Delaware law firm for a number of years. More recently she had been a volunteer in the Office of Child Advocacy (OCA), the Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (DVLS), and the Public Defender's Office (PDO) in Wilmington. 

She was born in Washington, DC, and lived in Reston, Va., for 25 years. Her mother, Kathleen (Seibert) Marshall, died in 1988. Kathleen was a longtime member of AA.

She is also survived by her sister, Mary and her husband Jason Page of Pleasant Valley, NY, and their four children, Marshall and Jackson Page and Catherine and Helen Marie Page. She is also survived by her cousins, Thomas McAvoy, John "Marshall" McAvoy and Karen McAvoy, all of Barrington.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at the Carmelite Monastery, in Barrington.
