Josephine Calce, 88, of Hope Street, Bristol, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at Saint Elizabeth Manor in Bristol.
She was the wife of the late Marco Calce Jr.
Josephine was born in Bristol, the daughter of the late Gabriel and Maria (Nunes) Castro.
She was a bakery clerk at Batista Bakery, always greeting customers with a friendly smile.
She was a lifelong Bristol resident and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. Hosting an annual Fourth of July clamboil and decking the house in patriotic pageantry for family and friends was the highlight of her year.
Josephine was the mother of Deborah (Vincent) Catalano and Cheryl (David) Andreozzi and the loving grandmother to Lisa Catalano, Robert and Alaina Andreozzi.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gabriel Castro, Philomena Bilotti, Mary Shorey, Joseph DeCastro and Anthony DeCastro.
Father Jared, formerly of Saint Elizabeth Church in Bristol, will officiate a private service. Calling hours and flowers are omitted.
