oseph W. Trombley, 99, of Warren died Saturday February 10, 2018 at the Linn Health Care Center in East Providence.

He was the husband of the late Rose (Depoint) Trombley.
Joseph was born in Warren a son of the late George and Mary (Harris) Trombley.

He was a Machinist Millwright for the Carol Cable Company, for over 25 years, before retiring.

Mr. Trombley has lived most of his life in Warren and he also lived in Riverside for over 24 years, he was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church.

He was a longtime member of the Sportsmen’s Happy Hour Club in Warren. Joseph liked to spend time watching Horse racing and dog racing, he also was an avid sports fan, watching the New York Yankees, and the Boston Celtics. He had also enjoyed playing pool.

Mr. Trombley was a devoted family man , he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Carol O’Brien of Riverside.

Joseph was the grandfather of Kelly Iacavone and her husband Tony, and Shawn O’Brien and his wife Jennifer.

He was the great grandfather of Kloey Iacavone, Jake Iacavone, Abbey Iacavone, and also Ben O’Brien.

Mr. Trombley was the brother of the late George, Ernest and Clarence Trombley, Blanche Fontes, Alice Pontes, Mary Fontes, and Edna Palumbo.

His funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 am in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
