Joseph Eduardo Raposa, 67, of Bristol

Joseph Eduardo Raposa, 67, passed away on Feb. 25, 2020, at home.

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio Ferreira Raposa and Virginia (Macedo) Raposa. He is survived by his son, Michael Raposa of Bristol. He was the brother of Walter Fox of Bristol, Virginia Fox of Cape Cod and the late Lindaura Pires and John Raposa. He was the uncle of Wilson Fox, Nelson Fox, Ashley Fox and Vasco Pires.

Mr. Raposa was educated in Portugal and employed by J. H. Lynch & Sons for 40 years before retiring.

His funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will be private.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
