Janice Vincent, 74, Tiverton

Janice ‘Jan’ (Landry) Vincent, 74, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Tiverton, passed away on January 28, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Vincent.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Rita (Plourde) Landry. A graduate of Dominican Academy, she was employed in the bus transportation industry prior to her retirement. She and her husband lived for most of their lives in Tiverton, before retiring to Florida in 2004.

A former parishioner of St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish of Port St. Lucie. Jan enjoyed quilting, sewing, painting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Diane Mello (David) of Tiverton, Lisa Vincent (Roger Guillemette) of Little Compton, Kim Placido (Michael) of Westport and David Vincent (Emily) of West Palm Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Landry (Joyce) of Florida, and sisters-in-law, Joan Vincent of Fall River and Linda Landry of Georgia. She is predeceased by her brother Len Landry. She also leaves several nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Funeral services will be held on February 2 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Port St. Lucie. A memorial service will be held at St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton, at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
