Jane B. (Sumoski) Jovin, 95, of Dawn Hill Avenue, Bristol, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond Jovin.
Mrs. Jovin was a payroll clerk for many years for the Kaiser Aluminum Company before retiring. She had been a resident of Riverside for most of her life until the last four years, when she moved to Barrington and then Bristol.
Jane was a parishioner of the former St. Casimir’s Church, and now St. Alexander Church. She was an avid traveler and loved cruising with her sister Genevieve and her husband Raymond. She enjoyed fine dining and liked to dress up for her cruises.
Mrs. Jovin is survived by her sister Sophia Pipka; her nephew James Wojtyto and his wife Lynn of Barrington; her niece Sandra Goldberg of Warren; her great-niece Bethany Goldberg; and a great-nephew, Brian Goldberg. She was the sister of the late Sarah Wojtyto and the late Genevieve Sumoski.
Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, July 31 from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Alexander Church, 221 Main St., Warren. Burial will follow in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
