Clean up hitter Connor James bashed four hits, drove in four runs and scored four runs to lead the Westport baseball team as they crushed Holbrook 14-4 in an abbreviated 5 inning home game on Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats improved their record to 3-5. Westport scored six runs in the first inning, two runs in the second, one in the fourth and five in the fifth to ten-run rule the Roadrunners. James hit two doubles and two singles and went four for four as the Wildcats smashed 13 hits.
Wildcats starting pitcher Luke Finglas struck out seven and gave up four runs in four innings of work. Shawn Lavoie came on in relief in the top of the fifth and struck out the side.

Westport plays at Southeastern Regional Votech on Monday, hosts West Bridgewater on Wednesday and plays at Bishop Connolly on Friday. All games start at 3:30 p.m.
