Former town officials thanked for their service

Barrington officials attended a special swearing-in ceremony at the town hall on Monday night, Dec. 3.

But before the new council and school committee members were administered the oaths of office, officials took a moment to acknowledge the service of Steve Primiano, Kate Brody, John Alessandro and Gina Pine.

Barrington Town Council President Michael Carroll praised Mr. Primiano for his years of service to the town, adding that while he and Mr. Primiano may not have always had the same perspective on issues facing the town, they always shared a love of Barrington.

Longtime Barrington School Committee member Kate Brody also received a standing ovation during the special ceremony at the town hall. Ms. Brody did not run for re-election this fall.

U.S. Congressman David Cicilline administered the oath of office to the new town officials.
