Hunter Music Series presents Becky Bass

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets and the family for this year's Hunter Music Series on the grounds of the Lippitt House Museum. 

Two-time New England Urban Music Award winner Becky Bass will perform on Sunday, August 21. Bass fuses Carribbean soul and gospel with her signature steel drum and vocal performances. 

Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 day of at lippitthouse.org, and free for kids under 12. 

WHAT:  Hunter Music Series hosts Becky Bass

WHERE:  Lippitt House Museum grounds: 199 Hope Street, Providence, RI 

WHEN:  Sunday, August 21 at 4-5pm; grounds open at 3:30pm

TICKETS:  Visit www.lippitthouse.org for tickets. $8 in advance, $10 day of and free admission for guests under 12 years old

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
