Three Barrington Pop Warner teams win first place at competition

Posted

On Saturday, Oct. 19, Barrington Pop Warner Cheer made history.

Barrington had three teams competing — Mitey Mite, Junior Pee Wee, and Junior Varsity — and all three teams finished in first place in their respective divisions.

Having all teams that competed at the RISMA competition win first place was a first-time accomplishment for Barrington Pop Warner Cheer. This was also the first year that the Mitey Mite division is competitive for Pop Warner. In addition, our Junior Varsity and Mitey Mite teams both were Grand Champions for their age groups.

Next, all three Barrington teams are headed to the New England Pop Warner Regionals on Nov. 2 and 3, where they will compete for a chance to qualify for Nationals.

"We are very excited about our results so far this season and thank the Barrington community for their continued support," said BPW Cheer Coordinator Susan Moran.
