PORTSMOUTH — The Island Park Preservation Society will be hosting a Classic Car Show and movie night this Saturday, June 29, at Thriving Tree Coffee House, 706 Park Ave.
The car show runs from 1-5 p.m.
Later that night, visitors can watch Grease, the 1978 movie musical starring John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and Stockard Channing, under the stars.
No alcohol will be served during this event.
The following Saturday, July 6, the Society will host its second annual Park Avenue Picnic with fireworks display, also on the lawn at Thriving Tree.
Besides the fireworks display at dusk, there will be food, live music and crafts. The festivities start at 5:30 p.m.
