Late last month, the volunteer effort to plant daffodils along Bristol's new scenic byway was a great success. The Delightful Daffodil Project is a community effort, conceived of by the Garden Club, to enhance the natural beauty of the town by promoting the planting of thousands of daffodils each fall.
The club still has 1,000 more daffoldils to plant this month, so they will be holding a second planting day on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at Mrs. Perry's Garden (on Hope Street, across from The Beach House.) They need volunteers (who should bring their own trowels and gloves.)
The Garden Club will also have a table set up at the Mt. Hope Farm farmers market on Saturday, Oct. 23 with bulbs to sell for people to plant on their own property.
