The Silvia’s were owners of an international travel agency in the local area for many years. They have traveled the world and collected art along the way. Downsizing is in their future and they are putting their extensive collection up for sale. Art pieces are from Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Peru, Mexico, China, Vietnam, etc.….

To start off, seventeen pieces will be shown in Gallery 1019, 1019 Main Road, Tiverton, RI., starting July 27th and additional pieces of their collection will be offered for sale as they finalize their new residence. There will be a Collection Opening Reception on July 27th, 4pm to 7pm, appetizers and libation.will be served.

The Silvia’s art collection will be on display for an extended period.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
