Gentle Yoga & Meditation with Rev Shelley Dungan @ Norman Bird Sanctuary

We invite you to join us Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:30 inside Mabel’s Studio for a gentle yoga practice and mindfulness meditation. Come experience these unique, inspiring yoga classes where the sense of community is strong and truly heart-warming. Come, find your inner sacred center in a supportive, welcoming, nature-centered atmosphere. These weekly classes are designed to be accessible for everyone in good general health regardless of yoga experience. This all-levels class will include inspiring readings, mindful meditation and yoga poses that emphasize developing strength, flexibility & relaxation. Please wear comfy athletic clothing, bring your yoga mat and a thick blanket. The suggested donation is $20 with a portion of all funds going directly to support Norman Bird Sanctuary. Please register through Eventbrite as the class size is limited to 15 students. We are unable to accommodate drop-ins for our indoor classes.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
