EAST PROVIDENCE — The 2019 edition of the East Providence High School Unified Volleyball League team, which brings together Special Needs student-athletes with their peers from the general population, continues play this fall.

The program is a combined effort of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League and Special Olympics-Rhode Island.

The Townies recently hosted their counterparts from Barrington in a league match. The 2019 EPHS team roster includes: Maya Bastanzi, Kelsy Gouveia, Shane Lavin, Issiah Lopes, Daniella Medeiros, Ethan Medeiros, Brett Nadrowski, Alexis Rosa, Joseph Santana, Denzel Sivels, Kyle Soares, Tyler Soares, Arianna Sparks, Amy Tewksbury, Tyler Tewksbury and Alex Vieira. Kristen Coutoulakis and Dana Brodin are the coaches.
