The 2021 edition takes to the hardwood
EAST PROVIDENCE — The 2021 edition of the East Providence High School Unified Basketball League team returned to the court this spring having missed last year due to the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak and playing a slightly reduced schedule of games to accommodate a number of fall and winter sports offerings delayed by the pandemic earlier in the term.
Unified Hoops, which brings together Special Needs student-athletes with their peers from the general population, is a program co-sponsored by the Rhode Island Interscholastic League and Special Olympics-Rhode Island.
The 2021 Townie roster includes: Ethan Conley, Jayden Delgado, Ryan Enos, Dylan Figueroa Soto, PJ Kochan, Shane Lavin, Issiah Lopes, Ben Nascimento, Ben Nunez, Franchelis Peguero, Gabrielle Phaneuf, Dylan Reynolds, Kyle Soares, Colby Wallace and Jaiden Wright. Dana Brodin is the head coach assisted by Bruce Zarembka.
