Townies, Eagles play to a 1-1 draw
BARRINGTON — The East Providence High School and host Barrington boys' soccer teams played to a 1-1 draw in a Division I contest Tuesday night, Sept. 10, at the Eagles' Victory Field.
Josh Leadem gave the home side the lead early in the second half after the side played scoreless through the opening 40 minutes. Andrew Blazewicz assisted.
The Townies left it late in finding the equalizer as Colin Capelo, who missed a quality chance in the first half, scored in the final minute to tie. Owen Charron had the assist.
Andrew Mongeon made eight saves for the Townies, who improved to 1-0-2 (5 points). Jason Troiano was credited with seven saves for the Eagles, whose record leveled to 1-1-1 (4 points).
