Frank J. Formisano, 78, Bristol

Frank J. Formisano, Sr., 78, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Dec. 24, 2016. He was the son of the late Raphael and Sadie (Matrone) Formisano. Frank was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Durfee) Formisano; they were married for 21 years.

Besides his wife, Frank is survived by his devoted children, Frank J. Formisano, Jr. (Jacolyn) of Fall River, Mass., Denise Brigham (Tim) of Bristol, and Joyce Formisano (Michael) of Bristol; as well as seven grandchildren, Shannon Lopes, Ashley Baldwin, Jen and Nicole Brigham, Jake, Luke and Michelle Formisano; 3 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Ralph Formisano, Mary Jean Sylvaria and Rose Marie Carreiro; and three step-children, Candace Silvia of Fall River, Christine Correira of Somerset, Mass., and Donna Brosseau of Spring Hill, Fla. He was predeceased by his first wife, Concetta “Connie” Bisbano.

Frank retired from Raytheon as a shop steward. He was an avid motorcyclist and the president of Converse United Rubber Workers, #220. He will be sorely missed by his loving dog, Bella.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, are on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at 10 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Fire and Rescue Squad, PO Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
